At my new place near the bigfoot roraback report in CT of the night fishermans encounter with something out of the ordinary I been hearing the howls over the noise of the cars on the nearby highway. They say that bigfoot use the rivers as guides at night for there movement as trails. I'm wondering with all the highways that are bordered by large plots of land they could be using the highways as trails too. There are a lot of BF sightings that are along side highways. It makes me wonder now do they use the same roads, rivers and trails as we do?

My camp in the greenmountains in VT is a VAST trail (vermont snow travelers) and runs south to the north. I believe there are even spin off routes that connect to Canada too. This goes thru some of the heaviest, thickest over grown forests that i have ever seen in the northeast. With the amount of acres who knows whats in there in the higher elevations too.

The history channel had a very good show on BF the other nite. They investigated the patterson film and took it apart piece by piece and found it to be a real BF they emliminated all doubt that its a real bigfoot.

I have i posted about my smells comming off my bacon cheese burgers at night with the vents open in my trailer in Vt. I have been visited many times now. I just got some nite vision to try next in the spring. I have seen the eyes glowing at night but i'm still not sure what it is.

In Ct i'm going night fishing with nite vision at the same spot of the BF report with my 44mg too. This is a big area too its an old farm besides lots of forest too. Its not used that heavily too only fisherman and bow hunters.

BigBill - howdy. Hey - if you are going night fishing and plan on wearing night vision goggles or the like, you may scare the hay out of some bigfoot that happens along when it sees your green eyes. And honestly my friend, I doubt that 44 mag would serve any real purpose 'cause if they wants ya, they kin come an git ya and you wouldn't even know 'bout it until it was all over. I think they may be sensitive enough to know when someone is a bit nervous, as I would be shakin' all over and would no doubt be completely unable to use my gun in self defense.

Now, I have a theory about your bigfoot encounters and your bacon cheesburgers and believe I have mentioned this to you in previous posts. I think you may well have been visited by a bigfoot, many times. However, I think this may be one of the female variety that is tired of the drugery of pulling up roots and the like to feed her family, or just herself and may be checkin' out her options. I think it is really interested in your cheesburgers and if you plan on being out a night in that area you may well encounter one with romantic tendencies who may carry you away and set you upright in front of your cookstove. I don't want to think of what might happen after that but it would seem obvious that you wouldn't need a watch any longer as there should be a clok on your cookstove, if you get my meaning..........

In the same vein and with some of my humor here, and this does not in any way seek to discredit your sightings or what you have heard as I am still thinking about trekkin' on up there one of these days to visit with ya and to see what goes on up there, but my sister is still on the loose ya know and there's no tellin' who is givin' who the worst of it. In one of my posts to you a couple of years ago I warned the Bigfeets about the possibility of runnin' into her in the woods and cautioned them it might not be a pleasant experience. Of course, I can't speak for my sister......... and don't wanna go there (lolol).

Truly my friend, I would love to hear that you have had a non-frightening and/or more pleasant experience with a bigfoot sighting, or possibly even some sort of an interaction that doesn't leave you dead of fright. The night vision capability sounds interesting, as long as you don't collect a thrown rock twixt your eyes when you scare the bigfoot droppings out of one who doesn't expect to see glowing green eyes in the dark.

I don't think I would be all that frightened of seeing one, but given that statement, the sun has come up and I can now turn off all the outdoor lights and take the security bars off the windows (lolol).

I saw that Bigfoot show on tv and the results of the analysis of that film clip. I have been convinced for a long time that they exist and would love to have a non violent encounter, even a sighting. If they would like to stay for some of your burgers it could, as Bogart once said - be the start of a long relationship........................... Mikey.

I don't know about Bigfoot, but when I was 20 or 21, I took off for a 2 or 3 day 'chuck hunting/fishing "safari" in Central NY. I camped overnight at a small pond a little off the road on state land. I just made myself comfy in my sleeping bag when I heard the most awful screech/howl that I had ever heard, and it sounded real close! Well, I quickly retrieved my pistol from the car and looked around with a flashlight. I didn't see anything, but ended up sleeping in the car just in case, very uncomfortable since the seats weren't as adjustable as they are today. It was raining when I awoke, I looked around and couldn't find any tracks. My guess is that it was a bobcat.

Which is why I like to always have a Bigfoot dog along. A Bigfoot dog is not a dog that wonders out in the woods in an attempt to find a Bigfoot: it is a dog that stays close and lets you know if anything big and hairy is sneaking up on you--anything big and hairy like an amorous Bigfoot, maybe a bear, or even Mikey's sister. I'm being humorous, but, to be really humorous, humor has to have a small grain of truth.

My best Bigfoot dog was Floppy John. He was a half Lab/half pit. Big and bad enough to take care of himself but gentle and non-aggressive when he didn't need to be. He always stayed close but was aware of what was going on around him. I gave him to some people who badly needed an understudy for their yard dog. The yard dog had served well on their acreage in the country in the past, but he was old and losing his hearing and sight.

The last time out hunting with my son we had some things happen. It wasn't new to me but it raised his attention to what were talking about.

He was out in the dark before sun up in his stand with my 30-06. This kid can hit a pennie @ 100yds with my 06 he is that good of a shot. As light came I heard one loud tree knock up past me in the national forest to the north above us on the ridge. My road is the only way in and no one went down it yet. I sat above the kid about 200yds on his left. Then the second tree knock happened and it came from the southeast the way we were facing. When my son came up for lunch he asked me if i heard the tree knocking. I said yup and you know what it is too right? He said he couldn't believe it was happening but he was hearing it.

Our second thing is the large red eyes that are far apart on a face. Our headlites on our car caught them about 100yds away on the side of the road. It was off the road looking at us. As we got closer it was gone. My son seen that one too. What ever it is its out there on every trip up there now. I hope that having night vision solves the mystery.

A good hearing dog is good to have too. Yup my dog is going with me too. Its the first thing that will hear it comming and let you know its there.

not a joke had one that followed me to a deer stand , he always perked up long before the deer showed up !

Back in CT both my dogs start howling when the yotes comeby in the middle of the night. Living in the country is awesome.

I finally got some cheap GEN 1 night vision and it works decent as far as i can tell so far.

My youngest son is going camping in VT at my camp and there going to cook outside with a grill. This is going to be interesting really interesting guess who's comming for dinner? Or at least desert. I'll keep you guys posted on what happens. Something happens to me on every trip up there. I always see or hear something. My youngest son is a non believer and he is going to get the snots scared out of him. I'll bet they won't make it one night or definitely not two nights camping. I'd like to be a fly on the wall during this trip just to see them high tail it out of there. I hope they get screamed at!!!!!!!

My son and his buddy's came home from there camp.

Before they left he told his buddy my stories from my camp in VT. He is an older lad and said right away its a bigfoot.

My trailer is over grown now with mice, they seemed to have taken over my shelter now. So they slept in a tent all 4 of them. They heard the usual sounds of yotes running the valley howling as they went end to end across the low lands. My son got up with his buddy and they went for a walk at 12:30am. to checkout my area. They went about 200yds from my camp. My son said they heard something walking with them in the woods and when they stopped walking it would stop too. Then when they started walking it would walk again too. Other than that it was the usual night in the north country.

For many years I always had something following us in the woods up there when we walked down the roads and trails its a common thing. All though i scanned the woods with my scoped rifle often I never seen what was following us for many years. It seems to stay parallel with us as we walked but its up on the ridge above us most of the time out of sight. But yet watching us.

On some trips during the summer we would take the family dog with us. She was as good as a hunting dog and would track sometimes too. She would be in the car with the windows down and looking up the ridge growling as we drove down the road very slowly. This was years before all the sounds started at my camp as it came closer.

I think it will take a few days of cooking there to bring it in closer. Before i was up there alot when it screamed at us. Its almost bacon cheeseburger time again....... What ever it is it loves the smell of bacon.

I did notice one day while out hunting my woodstove smoke does travel very far up on the ridge/mountain above us. We were on the back edge of the mountain far away from my camp when i can faintly smell my woodstove smoke. Thats pretty far up in the national forest when a human can smell it and an animal can smell better than we can so its probably reaching farther out than i can tell.

I have had these happen to me mainly in october to november for close encounters and screams. But were being watched and followed all year by something. My camp is in the boonies way back in the forest away from houses and any farms. It borders on the national forest that eventually heads up into canada from central vt.

1911 I just read your article and wow! what an awesome experience! Are you still having encounters? Have u tried wood knocking or have you ever been stoaned? I have heard that some people have "good" encounters and some scary encounters keep us posted!

These howls in Ct at my new place sound like the bigfoot sounds where its in with a train whistle on the net. That howl matches my howls near my house. I was sitting on my front porch when i heard it and i knew what it was right away.

At my camp in VT i keep an sks with a 30rd mag as my camp gun. If it shows up its going to get full of holes if our lives are in danger.

Just had a conversation with a miner I know who lives about 25 miles up into the Coast Range off the Southern Oregon Coast. He claims that he and his woman have seen Bigfoot on several occasions, and had their camp surrounded by about 8 of them one night. Says they seem mostly curious about them, but do get upset and howl/growl/snarl/scream occasionally. Says one followed his woman into camp (she was on her monthly) and he had to fire several shots with his rifle to scare it off. Said he saw one one afternoon standing behind a stump that was about 5 foot high. He stood another 4 or 5 foot above the stump, about 9 to 10 ft. tall. These people don't drink or smoke funny stuff, and don't do drugs. I've known them for several years, and I tend to kind of go along somewhat with what he says. Course, first hand experience is best, and they have invited me out to sit a spell with them, see what comes up. Might just take a few days and do it...BoomLover

BoomLover does your friends have trail cams or nightvision? Sounds like great location for trail cam if theres 8 plus creatures roaming around. Does the animals ever bluff charge when they are mad growling/howling?

Does seem kinda strange! Almost everyone that I know has a cell phone and I don't think that you can buy a cell phone without a camera on it. I spend a lot of time walking around the mountains and desert and I always have a small digital camera with me. With todays digital photo technology, it does seem weird that NO ONE has ever got a picture of a sighting. Heck, I can even do short videos (with sound) on both my pocket camera and cell phone. So come on guys, no pics equals unbelievable stories!

Don't know, I'll ask. He is a miner living on the edge, comes to town about every 2 weeks to replenish supply's, borrows phones to make calls, has an old truck with a leaky tire, so he uses a tire pump to keep it aired up...don't know if he has a camera, and pretty sure he doesn't have a mirror....guy looks like a Sasquach himself! BoomLover....PS...I might just get him a little digital camera to see what he comes up with!
