I saw one at the gun shop looked interesting and a neat action. I have heard they shoot good. That is all I can tell you as I have never shot one. Jim

I handled one of the sporters built on that action. The trigger was quite good. The stock looked a little odd, but comfortable. There is some plastic here and there as I recall, and not a very fancy job of finishing. The barrel looked non-tapered to me, which got my attention wondering if it would be legal for hunter rifle silhouette. The gun shop owner wondered about the scope base...if it would limit the fore and aft mounting location of some scopes, so check that. I think it cost $279 or something close.

Thanks PAndy. I'm still looking into the whole thing. I have a Mauser straight pull .30/06 (Model [19]96), and really like the concept. Like deer camp with my Mauser, I bet I'd be the only guy at the gravel pit with a Biathlon. :wink:

I bought one about 2 months ago and have shot several thousand rounds of various standard velocity ammo through it. It is not quite as accurate as my heavy barreled Ruger 10-22, but it is close. I have shot many 10 shot groups (sand bag & 10 power scope) all within a 1 inch target paster.

I like it because it is so much lighter than my 10-22 and it is different. It is easy to shoot while standing. I have added a piece to the bolt handle to enable me to cycle the action with my left / trigger hand.

The scope mount needs work. It left my scope in a poor position, it is too far to the rear.
