My dad and I were out shooting the other day at the range.  When  a guy showed up and wanted to shoot the 550 yard range.  After he got his monster rifle out, at least compared to my largest 25.06.  We got to talking and he let us shoot his rifle.  WOW!   That was amazing.  That was the first time that I have ever shot a group at 550 yards that could be covered with a nickel.  The nightforce scope that he had one it was great too!  42 power does quite a bit for seeing out there at that range.  I thought my 20 power was good. 
I was well impressed with what custom rifles can do.

mydogtwig - yes sir, that is why people like, build or buy custom rifles, for groups just like that at those ranges..............
