The clean up is easy with just a wet patch(water) and light oil. I swab with h2o then brush to remove any unwanted lead fowling then a patch with oil then a dry patch and done. I started out building my first rifle in 1971 a CVA Kentucky in 45Cal. At the time I lived in Chicago and shot in Mt pleasant IL. at a range there. A fellow I worked with got me into BP. I had many a cleaning session in my apartment bath tub and can still remember the smell of sulfur. This stuff has all the good smoke and bang but none of the stink. I like it!
I got another 35 Whelen and I'm sending it to Wayne to re-chamber into my 350 Jacob in hopes that the old barrels will work on the new Mag actions. If they don't I'll put it on an SB2 and load it down to an acceptable level. How's that 50 coming? Can't wait to see Pics. I'm trying to come up with a good sight pusher for the BC using the brass punch and hammer just makes me crazy. Hope you are having a happy new year and I wish ya the best. - F50 aka Gary
