Old CIL hulls?
« on: June 27, 2003, 08:36:26 PM »
Back when I was a kid, we used to shoot CIL target loads. I had saved a couple of hundred of them, in my fathers basement. Most were plastic, but 50 or so were paper. I happened to be digging around at his place when I found this box of hulls. I don't know if they would be valuable as collectors hulls, (still have many of the boxes too} or whether I should load them up and try shooting them. They were kept nice and dry, but they are the old , paper basewad style. I have found some load data for them in one of the early shotshell loading books.

What do you think? Shoot them or try selling them as collectibles?

There's probably millions stuck in attics yet, so I'd load them and shoot them. The boxes might bring you a loonie or twoonie.  On the other hand, a full box of unfired (not reloads) papers should bring you more than a new box is worth.
