A practice airgun for silhouette
« on: June 27, 2003, 10:43:25 PM »
I am looking for a good air rifle to use during the winter months (indoors) to practice my silhouette shooting. I want something that feels something like an actual rifle. Any help would be great..

Send me an e-mail. How much are you looking to spend, how much power, etc? What kind of gun- gas, air, spring, PCP?

chunter,

If you want to save a few bucks and get a good air rifle then check out the Winchester 1000C.  At Natchez you can get one for under $80.00.  I got one for my daughter to replace her Gamo 880.  Good choice as it's more accurate and even more powerful.  The trigger is a little tough at 5.25 pounds pull but one can get used to it.  Maybe a good gunsmith could improve the trigger but I haven't checked that prospect out yet.  You can check the Winchester 1000C out at http://www.natchezss.com/ and see for yourself.  Lawdog

I will add to lawdogs suggestion, as he turned me on to this rifle. I am dropping the bunnies daily in my yard. Yesturday at 60+ feet and have yet to site it in. A great buy.
