I don't know how long they were made, but I bought a new one in the mid 70's.

Over 2 million  Model 190's were made from 1967 - 1980, in 20" carbine & 24" rifle lengths with non-checkered, walnut-finished, hardwood stock(s).

In addition, there was a similar Model 290 Deluxe, made from 1965 - 1973 with  select walnut stock(s) that had a Monte Carlo comb on the buttstock, and impressed checkering, IIRC.
