You can't buy screws like my sprue plate screw, anywhere except at LBT, as they are an invention of my own and I have them custom made. Hit our website and you can order any part from there LBTMoulds.com Also, I can and will refurbish any mold I've ever made, if it isn't tore up too badly. I've only had a half dozen so bad I wouldn't fix them in 27 years though.
So my speical screws are understood. They are a shoulder screw which have a lathe center taper. When screwed down snug, they lock up with a shear strength unequaled by any other screw ever made. Since shear force is what loosens sprue plate screws, LBT screws don't loosen, yet they can be easily removed/replaced at any time. Both sprue plate and handle screws on LBT molds are made of high strength stainless steel, which eliminates rust lockup as well.
