Well the season is over here in North Georgia and I had to reflect on how it went. Bow Season was a Blast plenty of movement saw a good number of deer hear seemed to be in good condition. Muzzle loader was a Learning experience use a pick on the charge everyday if its left loaded. Misfire got to see the flag of defeat as a reward. Rifle started better but lack of acorns from the late freeze and then the drought changed patterns several times. So ended with one seven pointer from opening day of rifle season and some sightings but no real opportunity. Now to get some groceries to the herd to see them through the winter . Winter hopefully will be mild or I'm fearing a winter kill will occur. Food plots are staying stripped of growth which is more than normal.
Wanting to hear from others in region as to conditions and solutions for maintaining a healthy population. Also suggestions for planting for Quail.
