Pro Hunter price check?

I would like to purchase a Pro hunter in 7mm RM.  Could anyone share with me the cost of one of these?

$650 to $800. If you see one for $800 its too much. $650 is cheap and $700 would be what I would expect to pay.

Thanks 30-06man,  I was quoted a price of over $800 today for a black stocked SS.  I thought it was a little high!!

What's the price of a 4 foot pry bar ? 50$

Look down to his 25-06 thread.  He paid to much for a pro hunter ($1,000 Canadian which converts to about $980 American) and to add insult to injury it has problems and is back at the factory.  My guess is that we will hear about it for a while.  On another board a guy didn't like a rifle he got so had a tantrum each time anyone else posted about theirs.  I saw him do it for a couple of years before I got tired of the whole board and stopped going there.

I could have told him not to get a 25-06 in an encore. You paid too much and bought a caliber t/c hasn't perfected in their barrels yet. Ain't no reason for putting them down in their other guns and calibers.

So, seems everybody know the T/C ProHunter 25-06 have PROBLEMS exept me...,
So, What mean the Pro in the word Hunter...
So, Why they continue selling this ???
So, why should i Believe other caliber are better.
So, What's to difficult with the 25-06..
So, Why my buddy with the same rifle, but in BlackPowder 50Cal have big problem  too ?????
and consider user a Dremmel on his rifle ...
These are FACTS...

And stop telling i paid too much...
i have paid 899$ canadian...and it's the same price as anywhere else in Canada...
You admitted T/C hasn't perfect their barrel yet....
WOW, What more can i said ???

Its to bad you are having problems.  But there are WAY more folks happy with their TC guns than unhappy.  You will get a few who agree with you, but many more that disagree.  And it is not productive to continue to spread your complaint around the forum.  We can't make it go away.  We can help with suggestions to help you get your group size down thru reloading and minor mods to the gun.  Your posts make it seem like you aren't interested in that, just complaining.

I haven't had a problem with any of mine. If its that bad T/C has great CS and will fix it. I will say though it sucks yours isn't accurate but it probably is just a bad barrel. They mass produce them and you have to have a margin for error so a few bad ones got through T/C will fix it.The gun isn't perfect and I have yet to find one that is. What is wrong with the your buddy's ML? Why would he void his warranty? That's something T/C will do and if something is wrong they will fix it. So what T/C makes one barrel that isn't the best but I know of a bunch of gun makers who have one product that isn't just right. They will fix it.

eclipse , sorry you have had bad luck with your Encore but i would take the advice of the others here and contact TC and see what happens before you spread a bad word about a very good product and yes i could very easily recommend a Encore or G2 contender to anyone without hesitation . I hope you get it fixed quickly and please keep us informed as to your progress with this problem. Superdown

I can easily recommend Encore's and Contender's on a regular basis.  I own a number of frames in both models, rifles and pistols.  I have never had an issue with any of them.  Does that mean they are perfect?  Absolutely not.  Any manufacturer will have a lemon leave the factory every once in a while.  Send it back and have Thompson Center make it right.

WVHillbilly the stainless model is obviously going to be a bit more, but you can do better than $800.  You may take a look at GunBroker to help you look at prices being offered.

Me personally I like the blued Pro hunter better. That's the one I am going to suggest. As far as prices go Tim gave you the best places to buy them at.

I looked at 4 different shops today...Encore 209x50 SS black syn stock...All were $675 to $700 and Pro hunter were $800....I lucked out and found a sale on the last one at Dicks Sporting goods  for $499.............That is cost... Gonna bring it home tomorrow....It is for my son. I have one just like it that consistently shoots 3/4 inch groups @100yds....The .223 barrel shoots inch and a half groups at 200yds.......I hear WAY more good things than bad about these...By the way ALL the dealers said that T/C price's went up Jan 1....Drop

Here in NE Ohio the best price I've found for center fire, stainless steel barrel, standard black flex-tech stock, Encore Pro Hunter is right at $700.  Not sure what the muzzle loaders go for though, or what other options do to the price (blued barrel or thumb hole stock or real tree camo stocks, etc).

30-06 Man,

The exchange rate is not the only thing that determines the price in other countries.  Often an excise tax is added at the point of entry, so what we pay here doesn't have a lot to do with what you can get one for in Canada. 

Just sayin...

Still the price was too high. Even if all of it is added in he paid about $75 too much.

My first pro hunter was purchased for 940.00 delivered. This was for a SS frame w/Blk stock and TWO barrels, 25-06 and 22-250.

My second was a 209x50 Blk TH stock.  Out the door for 500 cash.  Sold the TH stock and purchased reg camo flex tech. ( I'm a southpaw and I had the TH sold before I even purchased)

I will have to go along with the "Happy Pro Hunter Owners". Both my frames are factory except for a new trigger spring in one.

I must have gotten a flawed 25-06 barrel, one that TC hadn't perfected yet. It only shoots under  inch-an-a-half groups at 300 yrds.   My 280 must have been made with the same Qual. Control, It shoots under 1 1/2 at 300 also.
My 22-250 must have come from regular TC stock. It's about 2'' at 300.
Both the 25-06 and 280 are shooting fac federal fusion ammo, the 22-250 is shooting Rem 50gr. Accutips.

 
Most prices I've seen are from 699-799. Online I've seen mostlly 365-465 for frames, depending on color and style. Most barrels (pro hunter)  can be bought for 275 delivered to your door.

FORGET ALL THE GUN STORES how do you think they drive new pickup's and pay 20-30 employee's
By charging a mark up it's the American way.
I also price a muzzle loader at a few around 800 bucks ball park.blue with synthetic socks.
I got mine like Johnny cash a part at a time and saved a ton.
I have $570.00 in my pro hunter stainless with flex tech stocks and 26" stainless 209x50 mag barrel.

Do this and get a good deal like I did.Besides I would rather support a local than the outdoor super store chains.
Find a local gunsmith or ffl holder etc? in your area that would be GLAD TO HAVE YOU AS A CUSTOMER that don't have
a ton of employee's to pay , don't get in a rush wait for deals. my guy got me a stainless  pro hunter withe flex tech stock's
for $310.00

Then I ordered a barrel from midsouth I have used them for years (HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM)

In my area Walmart is the place for TC rifles. But it is rifles only, they sell no pistols  :'(. Its been a while since checking the price, but its not been that long ago a S.S. encore with synthetic stocks were under $600.00.

A word for those having trouble with their barrel. Yes it is frustrating. I once bought a bad barrel and TC did take care of it. And yes I will buy more. Are TC's the best firearm on the market? In my opinion NO, BUT I LIKE THEM!!!!  TC does not control the final selling price. I recently priced a new G2 SS pistol frame in my area. Price varied from $310.00 to $399.00 before tax, a big difference, yes.
