700 BDL SS
« on: January 11, 2008, 07:50:11 PM »
Hey 700 fans, I just picked up a 700 BDL Stainless Steel .30-06 at Walmart on clearance.  It was marked down already, and I got it for 20% off the sale price.  Not bad for a new rifle :)  Never owned a .30-06 before but had been looking off and on for a year or so.  I told myself the next gun I bought would be a stainless / synthetic, bolt action (with 700s being at the top of the list) and the caliber would be .30-06.  Guess I did just fine.  I'm looking to load up some 180 Partitions or Barnes TSX for moose and caribou.  Anyone have any suggested powders I should try with these bullets?

Don't know about those bullets but IMO, 4350 is the gold standard for powder for the 30-06.
