Back From High Ridge in PA
« on: January 12, 2008, 08:48:27 AM »
;D  I had a great time up there.  It is a smaller operation than Tioga.  Food is fair but the accommodations are good.  I shot a 165 lb boar and 120 lb Fallow doe.  The bucks were about $1500 - $2000 but the does were $375...so it was an easy choice for me.  The buffalo, sheep, goats are [as I have seen in other places] a bit too domesticated for me but the deer and pigs were wild and challenging.  The elk seems to stare a bit too long before they ran...  The white tails were very spooky.  I used my Handi-Rifle in .30-30 to make it fair.
