I like close games too and this one was a great one! I had to keep my cheering down since my youngest is a die hard Patriot fan. But that Giant defense did a heck of a job on Brady! Offensive line did a great job of protecting Eli. Great all around effort by the Giants. Congrats to them!

:D  :D :D  Way to go Giants!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the best Super Bowls in a long time!!!!!!!!!!!
I said it many times before and I'll say it again.......Tom Brady ain't JACK SQUAT if he's under pressure and obviously the Giants figured that out and PUT IT TO HIM!!!!!!!
WAY TO GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to the Giants from a diehard Patriots fan. Brady is the best QB in the NFL but this game proved that defense ALWAYS
wins super bowls. The D-line of the Giants manhandled the Patriots front 7. No NFL QB can survive bad line play. It was the same story in 2001 when the Patriots beat "The Greatest Show On Turf".

I like close games, no matter who wins. Shows an even matching of talent.
New York Hunter, you'll have to admit, Eli had better protection in the pocket than Brady did? I was a little disappointed in NE offensive line?
That's New England's offensive lines fault, doesn't take anything at all away from the Giants, better yet it gives credit to the Giants front seven.  Big Blue showed up and smashed the Pat's in the mouth for four quarters.  They played blue collar NFC East football!

The NFC East is back.  The Giants are pretty young.  There are going to be a lot of players on this team for a while.  Dallas is very talented as well and they're going to get better.  Washington had some really good things going for them, then Gibbs retired.  They still have good talent though.  Philly was banged up most of the season.  Gonna be a tough conference next season! ;D

Bradys stats may be the best but it's only due to the Pats offensive line letting him sit back in the pocket with time to pick and choose his target. Take any QB in the league and give them that kind of protection and time and they'll put up the same stats. Last night proved my point, Brady can't handle the pressure and his play showed it.....he ain't the best, he has the best offensive line and without them he ain't JACK

I disagree. Brady has proven in years past he can get the job done with less than stellar offensive lines. He's not
a scrambler but he is good at sidestepping pressure in the pocket. There isn't a QB in the NFL who could have done better
given the ferocious pressure the Giants D put on him. 50 TD passes in the regular season is far from JACK. Just ask Peyton Manning.

We had one other couple over for the Super Bowl (not much enthusiasm in Wisc for the game for some reason ? :)  )
Anyway, by the end of the game, we were all jumping up and down and rooting for the Giants.  It was funny how in the beginning of the game, we said we wanted "the Giants" to win.  By the end, everyone was saying I hope "we" win.  The kids especially were yelling afterward "WE won! We won!"

I'm glad they pulled it off and put the smug Pats back in their place.

Yeah, well I've never seen Brady perform well under pressure and he's always had a great offensive line. It's also pretty easy to be a good QB when your Cheating azz coach is videotaping the other teams defensive signals (so they know what offense to run) and hires a lip reader to decipher what is being said??? The Pats should've been disqualified from the playoffs and I hope they find them guilty and take away their Superbowl XXXVI win for videotaping the Rams during practice. They've been cheating ever since they started winning....bunch of losers!!! 'Cause that's the only way they can win!!!

If they are then why did they cheat? Why didn't they win the Superbowl? Because they aren't. NFC won today.

They didn't cheat. They did what every other NFL team does (films the opposition, perfectly legal BTW) they just did it from the wrong location. The JETS did the exact same thing to the Patriots the previous year. The Patriots didn't make a big deal out of it like JETS did. It's more of a personal battle between Belichick and Mangina.

As to why they didn't win the Superbowl the Giants simply outplayed them. That doesn't negate the 3 Superbowl wins
they have in this decade. They are the Dynasty of this decade whether you like it or not.

My question to you is this:
If their winning this year is because of cheating then how come they lost the Superbowl?

Don't even try to twist the question around. I know how that works. :D They could have won but they didn't seem to want it as bad as the Giants did. IMO. They did cheat and it doesn't change the fact of what they did. They cheated when they played the Redskins too, our radios were out and they were told to turn theres off until ours were back up and they didn't. So theres another example of one of the times they cheated.

Ya, that's why they're in trouble with the league, now?

The best team won the Superbowl. BTW smart guy, if it's perfectly legal then why did Belichick get a $500,000 fine for doing it? (Answer: Because it is ILLEGAL!!!) Obviously you're a back seat fan that only comes to watch your team during the playoffs (if they're winning) and missed what happened during the regular season.  For a Pats fan you don't seem to know much. The only crybaby's of this football season are Patriot fans.  I couldn't be HAPPIER that the CHEATERS LOST!!!! To me it was just as good as the Cowboys winning it themselves. BTW the Patriots have to accomplish what only 3 other teams (Dallas, Pittsburgh, and San Fransisco) have already done (Win 5 Superbowl's) to be called a "Dynasty".....and we all know they BLEW that!!!    really, i do agree and see your point.  i cannot believe more wasnt made out of them cheating.  to me, they should have been eliminated from the playoffs.    just another reason i was so happy to see the giants win it.

No see there you go twisting what I said again. I didn't say anything like that. Read what I said again. They cheated to get there and then they still would have cheated if they could have and I am not sure they didn't cheat in the Super Bowl but yet the Giants wanted it more so they won. I don't see that I missed anything to justify what you said.

BTW, it's legal for any team to film other teams in the NFL. They all do it. Belichick got fined because his cameraman did it from the wrong location. Had he been in the correct location there would have been no fine. I know it's hard for you to handle that but that's the truth.

Oh I get it now. When they win it's because they cheated. When they lose it's because they didn't want it bad enough. At least you're consistent!

There you go again. You said they cheated to get there. Oh really? Since the "cheating" happened in the first game how do you explain the other 17 wins?

Face it, your hatred of the Patriots won't let you give credit where credit is due unlike myself who gave all the credit to the Giants. They deserved to win. You on the other hand want to say that filming the Jets in the first game somehow made them win 18 games straight. Think about what you're saying. If your argument were true then thw Patriots would have won the Superbowl.

Well that's where you are wrong....they aren't allowed to film the opposite team's signals for offense or defense and hire a lip reader to decipher what's being said so they know what play and formation to run. That 1/2 million dollar fine wasn't for filming the Jets in the wrong location.

A lip reader? I think your tinfoil hat is on a little too tight. Tell me how a lip reader can read lips through the other coach's
piece of paper that they hold over their mouth when calling plays. Every coach in the NFL holds something over their mouth
when they call plays.

You might also want to do a little research before posting replies to a subject that you know nothing about. The Patriots were fined
because the cameraman filmed from the sideline against league rules. Had he been up in the stands where he was supposed
to be there would have been no fine.

I do realize that your hatred of the Patriots is clouding your ability to understand the facts of the case, though.

Do you know anything of what you say? Where were you during these events....what planet do you live on? I live in New England and it was big news that the Patriots HIRED a LIP READER to decipher what the coach was saying as he was giving the play on the ILLEGALLY TAPED VIDEO. You need to do the research, I already got it right.
Now all teams hide their mouth because of the CHEATING PATRIOTS. In a perfect world, yes the Patriots would've never cheated and they would have won without having to cheat.....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ........ok, you can wake up now daydreamer!!!!!

Here ya go Mr. Know It All..... I did your research for you
NFL rules state "no video recording devices of any kind are permitted to be in use in the coaches' booth, on the field, or in the locker room during the game." They also say all video for coaching purposes must be shot from locations "enclosed on all sides with a roof overhead."
WOW!!! Imagine that!!!

I hate to break the news to you but NFL coaches have been covering their mouths calling plays for years now, did you just start watching the NFL this year?

Keep talking crap, you have no facts to back it up.

Thanks for proving my point. Video for coaching purposes must be shot from locations "enclosed on all sides with a roof overhead."  proves what I've been
saying all along that teams are allowed to film each other from sanctioned locations.
The Patriots violated that by going on the field.

The Jets did the exact same thing to the Patriots the previous year. Instead of whining to the league about it Belichick decided to get some payback by doing the same thing to them. The whole thing was all about the feud between Belichick and Mangini, not about cheating. But I realize that facts mean nothing to you so keep bashing me and the Patriots if it makes you feel good.

Boys, Boys, Boys its football. It doesn't matter the Patriots cheated and that's it. Just leave it at that they lost so it doesn't even matter. No use in getting another post about football locked because of personal attacks.
