« on: January 14, 2008, 08:01:10 AM »
Was wanting to reload a bullet for my .450 marlin. I ordered a mold from Lee last night hoping it would work in my .450.  Can anyone tell me if it will work it is a .457, 455 grain gas check, flat nose. I should have got on here and asked first. Help, Please, thanks. :)

Yep, it'll work. You will also find out a better bullet for that rifle is the RCBS 405 gr. The nose is the right length to crimp in the groove and feed through the magazine, and they cast out at .460, which seems to work well in most Marlin barrels. They also make a 300gr. version with the same nose shape, so if you want a lighter bullet it's a good choice as well.
