How can you tell if Glock high cap magazines are pre-ban?

I have a nice pic somewhere, but I can't find it.

Basically, like this:

Very early magazines had no caliber marking on them, but you aren't likely to see them.

Pre-ban - at the top of the magazine where it states the caliber - the caliber marking is midways between the very top of the mag and the top witness holes.

Ban - hi-caps had the caliber markind moved up high, and the "LEO only" marking was put in it's place.
Ban - lo-caps had of course, only 10 rounds or less.

After ban - the caliber marking was left up high, with no "LEO" marking in the middle.

Get it?

Other than the marking, is there any difference?  In other words why care?

not sure if it matters but some pre ban are not drop free , maybe no metal liner .
also we had one high cap mag split in half , so knowing age may matter as this was an old one . this is my main concern with plastic . I started in plumbing 35 years ago and have watched piping go plastic , I installed it in my own home and have found it to appear good but in reality it gets brittle ! which seems like what the magazine did . My concern is the best gun in the world ain't much good if the mags split .
the older i get the more i like revolvers !

I worked for a company that made lawnmowers, and we tried out a mower deck made of plastic that was better in every way to the steel that it was designed to replace.  It was impossible to convince the market that it was better and that idea died quietly.  I understood the feeling, though.  Even after seeing all the tests I couldn't bring myself to buy one either...

can't say about a lawn mower sitting out in the sun but pipe and mags seem to suffer . some see it as no problem and quote SERVICE LIFE !
my new holland with plastic fenders are already cracking , the steel ones on my old 1953 ford tractor still are there !

The reason that I ask is that I had a chance to buy a pair of 13 rd mags for my G32 but wanted to know if they are illegal in NY.  And it seems that they are.
