Have any of you used this stock? http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=780128&t=11082005 I will need to put a new stock on my Remington SPS Varmint 243 in the next few months. I like the looks of it and it has Aluminum  bedding blocks to free float the barrel. I think $300.00 is a little steep though. Do any of you know of a cheaper place to buy this stock? Thanks Dale

That's actually not a terrible price considering it falls into their target silhouette line-up. Its the same price as the tactical model I'm getting and from memory, the target/competition models were always a lot pricier.

Seems you're going to lose the floorplate, I always looked for the their BDL offerings for this reason. Midway has good prices and actually has a lot of stocks available, other sites do not and you have to wait up to 6 weeks for them to be finished.

Here's mine from Midway...

I just brought the above stock for my 700 had to do a little grinding to get the barrel floated.  But it IMO looks nicer than the HS stock it has checkered stock other than that they look the same.
