Hi:

What I would like to see in a new coilspring trap would be:

1. High levers.

2. Chain about 18 inches long and heavy, preferrably 2 or 2/0 size.

3. taos springs.

4. does'nt matter if they are round or square jaws.

5. Jaws need to be thick. Sleepy creek's offset jaws are a good example for jaw thickness.

6. stainless steel would be nice so that the trap would not rust, but I don't know how stainless steel would take a trap dye

Add to 1928's list; dogless with adjustable pan tension and base plated with "d" ring.  This trap would be quite versatile and since I am mandated by law offset jaws.
