Have you ever played any kind of shooting games?
« on: January 16, 2008, 03:51:25 PM »
Have any of you ever played shooting games? I was thinking that maybe you could play poker with a friend at the range. I think you could buy a deck of cards and staple them up at 200 or 300 yards. You then would take turns shooting. Once you shoot a card it is yours and your friend could not shoot it. I say maybe after 10 shots each who ever has the best hand wins. What do you think? Do any of you have any other games that could be played? Seems like a fun way of getting some practice in. Dale

Shooting real playing cards could get a bit expensive.  I have seen printed target sheets that have playing cards depicted on them.  I believe Sinclair International, Inc. of New Haven, Indiana prints some.

I don't know. I think I could buy a deck of cards for less than $2.00. My regelar targets cost more than that. Dale

I've worked with the local Boy Scouts the past few years...I made up a few games...

The first is tic-tac-toe...Divide the boys up to a red, blue and white team...
Take some poker chips, tape them up and down on a target, 3 reds, 3 blue and 3 white....
Each team takes it's turn shooting, any position, with a .22 scoped rifle at 50 yards...
Whoever gets their 3 chips hit first wins...

my family does turkey shoots with .22's.     10 rounds  with rifle or pistol  and whoever gets closest wins that round.  Its great cause the kids really focus a little more cause whoever wins gets to shoot a full mag in the AR.   Just a thought   8)
