multiple barrel change out & POI
« on: January 17, 2008, 10:43:08 AM »
Providing that multiple barrels had its own forend, spacer, scope, and ect.(???) If each barrel were set up to one receiver will each barrel keep it's own POI? Is it feasable to think one could set up each barrel, Then change a barrel and not be very concerned with changing it's POI tremendously.

I have changed barrels going from .243 to 35 Whelen and back a number of times without changing POI on either one. I do set my barrels up with their own for-ends so there is no unsolicited pressure point but if the barrels were sighted in with the same for-ends then it makes since there would be no difference.I'm going to set up my 223 barrel and scope on my 45-70 frame as they seldom leave the shop together and I think I'll use the full length lam for-end that is on the 45-70 that way it's a simple barrel change. It  is allways best to check your gun on a paper target before u try taken a animal, so just dont asume it is on target and go hunting check and make sure.Thats if u use your rifle for hunting that is
1 shot 1 kill
