cannulure or crimp groove?

I asked in another thread, and I will ask here. Is there a homemade way of putting a crimp groove or cannulure on a lead bullet, trying to get away from purchasing a expensive cannulure machine that would not be used that often.
Thought about a small pipe cutter (with the rollers) and roughing the blade up a little?
