I bought one used for $99. It was the 6.5", both cylinders, adjustable sights, silver satin finish. I mainly bought it to target practice in the backyard with CB Caps. Works great for that, reasonably accurate.
A bit after I got it, I noticed the cylinder was not indexing properly. Took it apart, found the hand was loose on the hammer. Bought the new part for $8, works fine.
These things are internally exactly like a Colt. The finish may be paint, but that's what glock and many other manufacturers use. the basic frame is aluminum, again, not uncommon, and not the cheapest way to go, it's adequate.
It's no Single Six, but it's half the price. Mine works just fine and I don't worry about scratching it.
They now have models with blued steel and case-hardened steel frames. Get that if paint and aluminum bothers you.
