REMINGTON WARRENTY?
« on: January 20, 2008, 02:48:05 AM »
Hello, I just purchased a new Model 700LSS 300 Win Mag yesterday.  After getting it home, I found that the laminated stock is cracked along the barrel channel.  I would like to have Remington switch it for a synthetic stock that is the same price on their price list.

Has Remington been known to work with their customers under these conditions or will they be strict in replacing the original part?

Thanks,

WVHILLBILLY

Excuses, excuses, excuses

Is it a new gun or is it a used gun?

Replacement would be up to the dealer that sold it to you.

They might offer to send it back for you or they might make you send it back - since it costs them a couple of dollars to mail it to the factory repair center.

I'd take it back where I bought it. They MAY be able to effect the exchange for you. I have a gut feeling it's gonna be like for like.

I took it back and the dealer exchanged it for another rifle.
