How long between checking sets?

Or is more time necessary for different types of critters? 
Coyote sets are normally checked ___ times a week. 
Raccoon sets are normally checked ___ times a week.

These are my two primary target animals, but I understand I may (or may not) get other types caught in these sets.  The smaller raccoons will not be turned loose, as I already have someone that is wanting them to train his 'coon dogs.  Trying to control the population and get the turkey's to move back into the area.

Don't want to give the coyotes too much time to work themselves out of the traps.  But I don't want to contaminate the area and never get one either.  Traps are not located near roadways, and can only be seen if near them....thought about using the binocular method of checking, but could not find suitable locations....go figure!

 Scott, your state will have --check laws--they tell you how often  your traps must be checked.
 I check land sets daily,as a matter of fact,I check on a daily basis most of my sets.
 Drowning sets and those using body grippers may have a different check period than footholds.

Finally got ahold of the AG&FC yesterday morning, that was fun(not really), and the actual paperwork with the rules/regs will be coming soon.  Now with anything run by the government, I'm hoping I'll see it before July.  The actual person I talked to could tell me absolutely nothing...be easy to fight a ticket from that warden, kept repeating 'I don't know'?  Go figure??

Thanks for the PM Tom, I'll keep my mind geared as to what you spoke of....
