S&B Shell Problems
« on: January 22, 2008, 07:17:59 AM »
I have a .410 Tamer that will not eject S&B 3" shells (fired ones).  Other brands are no problem.  I gave the rest of the S&B' to my brother-in-law who has a "regular" H&R .410.  He had the same problem.  Is this because S&B's don't have a smooth hull or is the base metal too soft?  Anybody else have this issue.  I'm new to the board, so if this is an old problem I'll apologize in advance.

I think it is soft brass.  Its not just their .410 shells either.  Many of their pistol shells stick as well.  I tried their .357mag in my 686.  I had to use a hammer and a punch to get the empty brass out of the cylinder.
