The long, cold winter
« on: January 22, 2008, 02:03:18 PM »
As seen from my kitchen window.

Season is finally over, looks like these are the ones I'll be hunting next year.  There were 31 of them in the field this afternoon feeding, temps were single digit the past 3 days and up to 16 today.  It has had them feeding as early as 2:30PM.

Is that the "North Pole" standing right there?  Still sunny and 85 degrees F here. :) Short sleeves, mosquitoes, clear skies, sunshine...

Exciting photo, full of prospects, better still to see it live and in person.

Not the North Pole, just west central Illinois.  Perfect hunting weather around here, too bad season ended Sunday.
