Medium and smaller caliber rifles?

Didn't someone make a "squirrel rifle" muzzleloader some years ago? I thought is was a .36, long barrel and percussion fired. I found a .32 at Midsouth but nothing from anyone else.

Thought this would be a fun rifle to shoot close range groundhogs with.

Look at Dixie Gun Works.  They have several in .32 and .36 calibers

Check out Cabelas "Blue Ridge", it is offered in .32 and .36 in flint or percussion and they are good quality rifles. I've been shooting a Blue Ridge flint .45 for 15 years or so and it has won quite a few rendezvous shoots

CVA's original Squirrel rifles were available in 32 & 36 cap.   They come up for grabs now and then for great prices usually, and are very good shooting little rifles.    I had one of each for years - still have the 36.   

Same with the TC Cherokee's and Seneca's, although they come at a much higher cost than the CVA's.   

My TC Hawken 36 is my main squirrel rifle now days.

THE Possible's shop was carring cva 36 cql bobcats the last I checked I got one 2 years ago in 36 cal

I have a .32 T/C Cherokee.  I'd sell my wife to the slave trade before I parted with it!  It shoots 103 gr. T/C maxi balls and patched round balls equally well.  Thompson Center no longer makes the maxi in .32, but I was awake enough to stock up while they were available.  I've made all my best shots with the patched round ball. and continue to be amazed by its inherent accuracy and the awsome damage that little ball can do pushed by 50 gr. FFFg.

Another nod to the Traditions Crockett in .32. Ours is a nice handling and smooth shooter. I have popped a few ground squirrels with it out to about 60 yards.

The cabela's Blue Ridge guns are made by Pedersoli. Pedersoli offers quite a few rifles in .32 and/or .36 in flintlock or caplock. (Kentucky, Alamo, Pennsylvania, Cub Dixie, Frontier) and in various plain to fancy grades.

If looking for something a bit heavier than a roundball, there are .32 cal buffalo ballets. These are 70 gr. They are listed for sale at www.rmcsports.com. I think they have 36 cal listed too but the description isn't that clear. Those are 125gr.

I was at Cabela's today and they had a .36 Blue Ridge flinter and a Crocket rifle in .32 cal. The BR was about 550 and the Crocket was 399.The Crocket seems like a nice little rifle too. :)

I got the chance to shoot my .32 Crockett for the first time late yesterday.
A sweet shooting little gun that I hope to get to use when Squirrel season starts in August.

I have a 36 cal with a 42 inch "Montana" barrel, 1 turn in 48. It's a real tack driver with 20 gr of 3f under a patched RB. On a whim I tried loading a greased .357 148gr HBWC as a Minie ball. While my close up accuracy does no equal that of the RB, at 100 yrds it will hold 3 to 4 inches. I could never get the RB to stay tight out to 100 yards, 60 or 70 seems about max for minute of rodent head accuracy.
