Scope Bases for encore
« on: January 24, 2008, 01:50:04 AM »
I have acquired a .22-250 barrel for my encore. i have decided to use Tally one piece bases and rings. I plan to mount a 40mm scope (unsure of the model yet.) Can i use the low rings, or do I need to go with medium rings?
Thanks,
Will

I have the Talley one piece on an Encore .50 ML and on a .280 barrel. Both are med. standard (not extended) one is a Nikon monark and the other is a Burris ff II. The low is gonna be too tight to the hammer. I would go med. with a 40 mm scope, they might even work with a 50 mm. There is no issue with eye relief on either one ( but it could be with a different scope)
