Ever bobbed a hammer?
« on: January 25, 2008, 07:26:52 AM »
Got a friend that's getting into Handi's like mad! He bought one the other day that has a 223 bull barrel and has some type of sniper scope with a big eye relief (can't think of the proper name). He doesn't like tall scope rings so he installed low as possible rings so the scope hugs the barrel. Problem is he can't cock the hammer or shoot the rifle because the hammer hits the eye relief so much it can't hit the firing pin. He's planning on installing a hammer spur on the side but was wondering about bobbing the hammer. He's not worried about resale was just curious if anybody else had done this too.

See the FAQs and Help sticky topics "low profile hammer mods" part 1 and 2.
