Yes, all it takes is a barrel cahnge although I would suggest a 22 lb recoil spring set from Wolfe.
Cor-Bon loads are 135 grain at about 1400'/sec, 165's and 180s, all slower. The cartridge can be loaded with Keith Style semi-wadcutters and loaded to much higher pressures. You can take small game to whitetail with the 135s as long as you don't hit bone on the way in. About the best bullet weight in the 40 bore is 180 grains, but I have shot 170 grain cast semi-wads, successfully, at better than 1400'/sec for metallic silhouette out to 200 yds and have used the same bullet on whitetail to 100 yds (too long a shot, really, but they all dropped with chest shots. Those loadings busted shoulders at the 75 yd mark) and black bear no farther than 30 yds (as far as I could see him).
I don't know about Cor-Bon accuracy, but the cartridge design, which I designed in 1978, should outshoot the 45 ACP on the target range and has greater capability than the loadings presented by Cor-Bon.
