Need Prayers- Ticker ain't Ticking right.
« on: January 26, 2008, 03:45:14 AM »
I would appreciate your prayers.
Dr. told me this week what I already knew: My heart is not nearly strong enough to continue carrying around the 320 lbs my 6'4" body has on it. My knees and hips ain't so good either.
Been fat most of my life, and REALLY need some divine intervention to lose, and keep off, about 120/140 pounds. My mother died at 54, and two uncles in their mid 50's, due to the same genetic heart condition I have. I turned 50 this year.

Thank You

alan

Hey Alan:
That's my younger brother's name too.
I want to agree with you in prayer for your ole worn out ticker.   Nothing is more scary than feeling that thing thumping out of time.   I've been down that road.  I was given just a few months to live back in 2002.  Only 18% out-put from my heart.   I made my peace with God, and was ready to go home, but he had other plans for my life.   So now I rejoice in serving Him till I meet Him in that morning.

For we have a God who formed that heart, and he knows how to repair it in ways we can never understand.   My son is an X-Ray Tech.   He's performed many Heart Surgeries.    During which he and the doctors and staff have watched the screen as hearts clogged up with plaque, suddenly began growing arteries that by-passed the clogs, and connect themselves back.    All this happens within seconds.   Miracles do happen, and God is a miracle worker, and I believe, no, I know He can do one for you.

I'll pray with you for your hips and knees too, that God will heal them.
My friend is 6'5" or so.     His knees both wore out.  First one, then the other.   The church prayed, and surgery finally had to be done.  He came through it, and is walking pretty good.    I think God wants us to give Him the glory over that too.
