Need Help to Identify these Throw Knives and a Value
« on: January 27, 2008, 06:37:18 AM »
The only info I have...I purchased these from a Military Vet about 20 years ago, that said he had them made while in Korea. Trying to find the name of the maker and a value...Have sent pic's to many Collectors with no response.

Thanks...   click to enlarge

That's going to be really difficult to do.  You don't say whether you know if the knives were made locally by Koreans(they don't appear to be) or by some soldier making knives for fellow soldiers, as in the " theater knives" of world war II, or ordered from an American maker. Unless there are some sort of markings or whoever made those was fairly prolific, so more of his work is out there and might be documented, you might never know.  Best you might do, and it seems like you're already trying those sources, is locate Korean War collector's sites and pose the question there.
