El Paso Saddlery (http://www.epsaddlery.com/default.aspx) makes nice leather gear.  I've got a crossdraw Threepersons for my Blackhawk that I like a lot.

I mine from Cabelas. Mine are made by Circle K. I got a crossdraw and standard for a 7.5''.

Galco makes 'em for Ruger I believe.  Check Ruger's on-line store.

Two ideas for ya, since you want a "plain leather holster."

Hunter is a good company and they won't break the bank,
www.huntercompany.com/leather.html

and Lever Gun Leatherworks will custom make what ever you want at a great price with great quality to go with it:

This is one he did for me, and the quality of the leather is terrific. It was very simple, but the result was quite elegant.

After quite a bit of searching I chose a Galco holster for my Blackhawks.  I prefer theirs because they can be worn cross draw or strong side.

Check them out:  www.usgalco.com

I have to also vote for El Paso Saddlery.  For quality and reasonable cost, they are hard to beat.  The left holster is an old Lawerence, the center a Mernickle, and my favorite, the El Paso 'Threepersons' on the right.  44 Man

One more real good one to add to the list is Leather Creek Holsters.
leathercreekholsters@hotmail.com

Very rugged and nice looking lined custom holsters made to order at prices so low you'd think they were production.      They've made 2 for me (4 5/8" BH & Super Bearcat - both cross-draw) that I am very happy with, and neither took more than 3 weeks to get.

Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus
