Lloyd, I have a S&W 44Spec HE with oversize chamber mouths(452/453)-go figure. I thought maybe that a hollow base would expand to fill this and enter the forcing cone better. It's either this or trade it or sell it or maybe another cylinder, but I have too much money in this gun already. Thanks for your interest.Hunman55

Those chamber mouths sound more like what I would expect for the 45 Long Colt! No wonder you cannot get a good load worked up.
Surprising, from that era I would have expected them to be closer to 430.
You might have to get the barrel rebored to 45!

I, too, am unaware of anyone molding HB 44's.
Lyman did make the Keith bullet mold available in HB but good luck finding one of those!
