Remington 7600...
« on: January 28, 2008, 12:10:54 PM »
Can the safety of the 7600 be "turned around" to accomodate a left handed shooter. 10 years ago I had this done on a 760 but the gun shop is telling me he doesn't think it can be done anymore.

Thanks.

That's a good question, one I personally cannot answer. If noone in here answers soon, get to their website and ask, they are good in responding quickly.

Heck, I've got a slow night ahead, I'll start a Help Center question. Chances are someone here will know before I get the Big Green reply tomorrow.

CrowMagnumMan, here's the response I got from the Help center....

Dear Aaron:

Thank you for visiting Remington Country. We do not convert the safety on a 7600 to a left hand safety.

That seems kind of cryptic to me. One could take that as THEY don't do it themselves, but it could be possible?

You could always call Brownells.  They may have the conversion kit.  I do not know.

You might be better off asking this question at the gun smith forum here on GBO. Dale
