What are the legal hunting ages for big game in your state?

In Alabama I don't believe there is an age limit but at 16 you must purchase a license and must pass a hunter safety course to hunt. Prior to that I believe the only real requirement is to be with a parent or guardian when hunting and that does mean in the immediate company of that adult not just to go to the area with them.

In Mississippi you can hunt with an adult at any age. You may hunt alone at 12 if you pass the state safety course and you must carry your card with you ( like a license ). You must buy a license @ 16 and you have to pass the safety course to get it.

we can't shoot little bears , but we can shoot anything else no matter what age it is !

as far as who shoots - any age up to 12 with an adult along and can hunt alone after 12 if they pass the hunter safety test/class .
that is in Virginia
oh yea if a hand gun is used then up to 16 with an adult , 16-21 if parent gives written permission and land owner gives permission also + gun must be unloaded while on public roads .

here in kentucky any age with an adult must buy youth hunting license at any age also must have hunter safety course. after 16 you may hunt with a rifle for deer over 15 with a muzzleloader.
