Yeah, but they're all expensive Rem ammo, not the $27 Centurion ammo. :-\

Tim

I wonder when all of the other 5mm ammo will be out. I was reading on another site that it might be out after this years shot show. I went to the site and it was down so that's about all I know as of now.

Ok. I am putting the need for another 17hmr on hold. I am going to have to get one of these now. Didn't T/c make one in a contender barrel?

Yep, they did but only 10" and only a few.

The question keeps coming back to my mind; What can the 5mm do that the 22mag or 17HMR can't? It was originally supposed to bridge the gap between the 22mag and the 22Hornet, but the first has continued to advance, getting closer to 5mm performance and the latter has also left it behind. If I can't kill it with my 17HMR and it kills ground hogs just fine right out to 175yds, then I will step up to a centerfire from there on out.

  Somewhere, I saw the ammo on sale..not onn centurion, Agila's website..which is down..

   www.jgsales.com     has 20+ rounds for $17.95 (don't know what 20+ means)

    www.jandcsales.com  has 50 rd box at $ 23.95

         Seems they are coming in to dealers in dribs & drabs, I suppose they may moderate at about $17 later on.

Wasn't 17HMR supposed to moderate and then the price would go down? Look at it now. I think I will set this out. I already have 17HMR and .223 so I really don't need one.

  Oldnslow;
  That's about where I'm at..
  Besides, in actual tests the 30 gr .22 mags are crowding 2300 fps..and start out with 2 cal head start on the mushroom..
  The 5mm may shoot a bit flatter than the mag..but if I need that, I can go to .17 HMR..
