Nikon Omega with the BDC reticle
« on: January 30, 2008, 05:25:46 PM »
I was curious if any of you have used the Nikon Omega with the BDC reticle on your muzzleloaders?  Is it as good as it claims to be?  I don't want to spend the money if the extra cost for the BDC isn't worth it.

I have the '3-9x40 Buckmasters Matte BDC' on a 350 Rem Mag. I think it's awesome, easy to see the BDC circles and almost dead on for me. I'm sighted in at 100yds and I use the top BDC at 200 and it falls 3/4" low, almost exactly as they said for magnum's. I'm sure it'll work the same for the Omega on Muzzle loaders.

I have the Nikon Omega on my T/C Omega. It works great, no complaints whatsoever.

I have 2 BDC scopes, one Omega on a 45-70 H&R, Mac11700 did some testing with Hornady Leverevolution 45-70 ammo in his Optima Elite and was impressed with the BDC performace at 200yds, so I bought one to try on the 45-70, and a 3-9x40 Prostaff BDC for a .444 Marlin H&R, haven't shot either of em yet tho, lots of shooting to do when the range opens in March. :)
