ive wanted one for years and finally today the one i bought used came in. Sure like this little lever!

I have a 30-30 model 336 and its a pleasure to carry and shoot. I am sure you will enjoy yours too. ;)

Lloyd- congrats on the purchase!
If I'm not mistaken, the 336D is a straight stock, not the pistol grip, correct? Saw one on Gunbrokers in 35Rem asking $700 or some such number. Guns, like real estate is getting real pricey in lots of places in this country.

What caliber did you get?

336D is a limited run gun marlin did a few years back. I think they made a 1000 of them. It is identical to a blued ported guide gun but in .35 rem.

Congrats, Lloyd!  That should be a handy rig to carry in the cedar swamps and balsam thickets!  I'll be waiting for a range report...after Nanook takes leave of the U.P....say July? (grin)
