New barrel blued problem ??

I received my .308 Pro hunter barrel today. It was in need of a good cleaning out of the package............kinda surprised me but I suppose that's normal. 3 orange rags later it was gleaming and looking real nice until I noticed on the front there was a descent spot of discoloration(milky looking splatter) in the blueing.

Man I hate going through the hassle of returning things...............but for what this cost..........I feel like I should.

Would you guys ?

It would not be noticeable to the average Joe..............but if I tried to sell it to one of you guys..........I am sure you'd want a discount !! Unless maybe this is not all that abnormal for TC's..........I have no idea...........this is my first TC purchase !!

I thought about shooting it this weekend and seeing if it groups good.............if it shoots great I guess I could live with it..............if it shoots bad......I suppose I could send it back because the blueing looks bad up front (??) !!

You know....   I'm really beginning to wonder about the quality of T/C products!

See my thread on the 6.5 Swede barrel in the Contender/Encore Rifle Section.  I have no idea how that barrel made it off the production floor.

You worked hard for the $$$ you paid for it, if it does not meet your standards, send it back!

If it bothers you , send it back.. I know I would . If you wanted imperfections   you could have saved some $$$ and bought a used one. .Randy
