pro hunter hammer
« on: January 31, 2008, 03:06:42 PM »
Will a hammer from a pro hunter fit an encore? I am thinking of swapping out the original hammer on my 7MM with one from a pro hunter. No need for hammer extension if it will swap out. The scope I have does not have a lot of clearance between hammer and scope. Setting the hammer off to on side would be nice. I took the trigger assembly out and honed all of the casting marks from the mating surfaced and it does make a difference. Did not change any pull weight or springs, just smooths every thing out.

Yes it will fit, but you have to send the frame into TC to get it changed. They will not sell the hammer any other way I think it cost about 50.00 look on there web site. I had mine done last year. Look at the 20g post a few post's down there is a picture of mine

It'll cost $69.95 for the conversion.

The bad part....
If you have had any custom work done i.e.; a trigger job etc., your firearm will be sent back to you at factory specifications; however we will return your customized components.
