While I haven't had much snow at my home this winter, Snoqualmie Pass on I-90 50 miles east of Seattle has this winter had 35 feet of snow according to one of the Seattle tv news programs last night. That is only 95 miles from me. WDOT can't keep the freeway open with all the avalanches and no place to put the snow.
JEEPER - THANKS !
THESE are the things that say to me, you've not got it hard at all, just look at ______! (Fill in the snow at Buffalo, NY, the cold at Minot, ND. etc, etc.)
24 MPH winds today - so I was on the ROOF (3 story house) putting a few extra screws in the sheet metal roof to keep it quiet! Gusts to 50 expected this afternoon and this evening.
BUT I'm sure it is much worse some where else, so I'M NOT COMPLAINING!
I think of the WORLD's highest recorded wind velocity at Mt Washington, NH - at 212MPH (when the anemometer blew away)!
