can a Remington 770 stock fit on a 710

I believe so. I don't own one though. I see they have a stainless 770 now.

They are the exact same gun.  The only difference is the stock.

You can always visit their website and go right to the source if you don't believe others here who have stated you could switch them out.

Register and ask them as many questions as you like, they always get back to me within a days time.
