heck of a deal today thanks Camel!!!

camel from this forum emailed me yesterday and told me the local gander mountain was have a clearance on guns. I wasnt in any shape for a ride but bucked up and went. I picked up a brand new 1991a1 colt that was marked 799 clearanced to 399 and they had another special where you took 60 bucks off any clearance price. So i walked out of the door with a new colt for just over 350 bucks.

there not closing this store. there was a rummor for a whlle that it was going under though. The sign said that gander mountian was doing a major gun inventory reduction though so it may pay you guys that are near one to take a look at your local store.

Man, I wish my local gun shop would do that.  I'm getting ready to buy a couple guns and would appreciate the price reduction!  ;D

Closest Gander Mtn is a few hours away though.

I stopped in at the Gander Mountain in Traverse City today and they too had 1911s at the same price, but they weren't Colts....they were Auto Ordinance and Thompson's, not much of a deal  :-[ .....I can't believe they let a Colt go for that cheap!  :o

Something strange in the air up there  :P ... Someone must of had a case of brain freeze from the winds off of Kitchi-gummi when they priced that one.  ;)

found out from cammel today that i got a better deal then i should have. the kid behind the counter was suppose to charge me the price on the clearance sticker and wasnt suppose to take the additional 60 bucks off of it but it would have been a great buy even without the 60 additional dollars off.

The new Cabela's store on I70 just over the Illinois line in Indiana, has come under fire from anti's from Daley (Chicago), recently? Heard rumors of this closing, anyone heard anything about this?
Supposed to be the biggest one in the states?

stopped by gander mountain in pontiac, they shut down. gone. checked other stores in novi and shelby they remaining open as is port huron. will check one of those tomorrow. dan
