Judging from the amount of people at the top of this forum  nobody is watching the super bowl

If the Super-Bowl was on across the street from my residence and was free admission I would still be here on the computer. All that yelling and screaming, I just don't get it. Of course, as I have grown older I am finding more and more things that don't make sense. Hunting and guns still do.

I wouldn't go quite as far as shooting the ball carrier though.

I thought Tom Petty was pretty good also. That's why I got a lap top so I can Have the TV going and still look at gun stuff.

Same here Mc, I've never, ever watched an entire game, baseball, basketball or football,  just not my cupO'tea. I've played on the church softball team for several years until I got too old and hurt myself, but never had any interest in watching a game.

My TV is beside my computer. I always watch TV and hang out here at the same time. Yes I am watching the supper bowl now. I sure hope the Giants win. The Pats are cheaters and do not belong here in the first place. Dale

I must say though that at least those folks who follow sports like hockey and football probably avoid 'Cabin-fever', which I find sets in about February first.

Spring is coming------------------------------------ssssooooooooooon.

There is 2:42 minutes left in the game and the Pats just scored. Looks like the cheaters will win another one. :( Dale

Now what if they had shotguns?

I'm with ya' on this one Tim. I loved playing football/basketball/baseball when I was a kid but I never got into watching it on tv. I'd rather be out shooting!

One of my problems is all of the interests I have; the Indiana Hoosiers (men's basketball) and the Indianapolis Colts among them. I am a big Colts fan (from Indiana) and New England are the arch rivals of the Colts. So glad the Giants took this one. For those that care, this will go down as one of the greatest Super Bowls ever.

or one of the worst....The Patriots played terribly, there was no protection for Brady. NY did play the better game yesterday....<><....:(

Not being a dedicated Pat's or Giants fan, I found it difficult to choose either.

I would like to have seen the Patriots go undefeated.  On the other hand, I wanted to see Eli win the big one and get out from under Payton's shadow.

Either way, it was one of the best Super Bowl games I've seen in many years... including the half-time show.

Patriot fans, you have my sympathy.  Congratulations to the Giants fans.

While I'm not an avid fan of football I've often tried to think of ways to incorporate shooting sports into football to make it more interesting to me....without endangering players lives.

One idea I've toyed with is to have an additional player on the defensive team called the End Gunner.  The End Gunner would be armed with a single shot shotgun and his objective would be to shoot down any forward passes.

Anyone have any other thought to make the game more interesting to folks like us???

I have to second that statement there Evoc. Two more months and New Englanders everywhere will get to see one of their teams take some frustration out on a team from New York.... Go Sox!

I have been around. I don't post here like I did because I don't own Handie's anymore. I still visit this NEF & HR forum every day and I still do post here most every week on my limited knowledge of the Handie's. Thanks for wondering about me though. Dale
