Two new Marlins
« on: February 03, 2008, 07:24:53 PM »
I bought a new Marlin 1895 in 45-70 a couple of weeks ago. I liked it so much I bought a new 336c in .35 Remington today. While at the store, I bought their one box of Remington Core-Lokt cartridges in 220 grains. I never knew Remington made anything but 150 and 200 grain bullets in .35 Remington. Anybody else ever heard of 220's? Could it be a misprint on the box? I'll pull a bullet and weigh it if I have to.

You made two good choices in Marlin leverguns. I have an 1895G in 45-70 and a 336 in .35Rem. and love both of them. I can't say I have ever seen .35 in 220 gr. I would look on Remington's website and check that out. Also, I would check out the new Lever-evolution ammo from Hornady.  This ammo is made exclusively for our rifles and are real shooters.

listen to what old grizz is saying about the leverevolution in 200 gr for the 35 rem.  I have been TRULY pleased with its performance in my 336.
