Well, since I had to ask Quick (Tim) how to turn on the smilies, I'll have to break down and ask one of the kids to help with that.  Kinda been drug into the computer age kicking and screaming. :-[  Had to replace 3 monitors before someone explained "reboot" didn't involve using my feet! ;D  I'll work on it.  DP.

that is a great looking lever gun (six gunz).  I recently set mine up with the same mount as you.  What scope do you have on yours.  I also got there ghost ring sights, a set of quik release rings but am still using a standard scope that I had on it before and am looking to up grade this next.  I like the option of being able to go between the open and scoped sights.  Next, I am trying to decide if I want to refinsh the wood and make it something to look at, but it will be a working gun so it would be pointless.  This is my first project gun and so far it has turn out well.

Matt, it's an NcStar 2-7X32 with extended eye relief....actually has nice glass for a cheaper scope...good light transmission. I think Midway USA has them for $50. This is a great little gun Marlin put out...only made it one year (2003)

M1895, early "70's,in.45/70, M336,.30-30, first year of production, M.375, and a pre-war M39 carbine.
I was a Winchester guy with a handful of '94's when I met my friend Paul, who is an avowed Marlin collector. I have since seen the error of my ways, and sold or traded off most of my Winchesters for Marlins. They feel better, and in most cases are more accurate.
My favorite is the M .375. The most graceful, hardest shooting best companion in the field lever action I've ever owned. Mike

I just worked a deal with Swampman for his 35 Rem and and a pre safety 30-30. This brings my total up to 5 Marlins and to think a year ago I didn't have any. Caught the bug hard I guess.

I thought the same thing and the wood on the 30-30 looked very nice as well. He priced them very reasonable so all we had to figure was a little extra to ship. He seems like a very nice guy

This is my favorite Marlin, an 1895G with WWG trigger, WWG follower, WWG Bear Proof ejector, XS Ghost ring with XS scope mount along with a 2.5 Leupolld scout scope on top along with Leupold QR rings.  It also has a DRC large loop lever along with a custom sling made by lever. It's a shooter to boot !!!

You say your custom sling is made by Lever, is this levergun on marlinowners? I have been looking at his work and he really has talent, I may be ordering from him soon.

I have divided loyalty between marlin and winchester,I find the wins less clunky but the marlins stouter for now I have a Mountie. a 1894c with the ugly safety,a 444 centennial, which I have beat to death hunting in the rain, unfortunately I let a 30/30 336 go a few years ago in a trade that had been my dads a deal that I still regret, the Mountie has a Williams peep the 444 a lue.1x4 the 1894 still has stock sights but I plan to do it up with a www trigger, eliminate the safety and have the action radius ed  not sure what to change the sights to ma bey a ghost ring ,when I have the money for the near future , unfortunately I'm spending my gun funds stocking up on ammo and mags for my semis-tt

I have a .375 (1981), a Ballard rifled  35 Remington from 1952, and a Monkey Wards brand in 30-30 made in 1964.
I sure need a couple more including one in 25-35.

Hello all! Not new to reading the forums here but new to posting. I've got an 1895SS with a 1.75 x 5 Burris scope and had the gun parkerized. I removed the rear sight, front sight and had the rear dovetail plugged along with the front sight screw holes. It's sweet, accurate, and tough!!

I have the following:

1.  Marlin 39A.  Bought new in 1974.  Couldn't begin to tell you how many squirrels I've shot with it.

2.  Marlin 1895 GG.  Bought it used in 2003.  Have killed hogs, javies, black bear, and african plains game with it.

3.  Marlin 1894 .44 mag.  Just got this little gun, and am getting it ready for Indiana firearms deer season.

M 94 41 mag with WWG rear ghost ring,  M39A with a Weaver 2.5x on it. Love both but have only shot paper with the 94. Have collected a few rabbits, ptarmigan, grouse with the 39. This summer I was asked to eliminate some beavers damming a culvert. The 39A went to work the evening of July 4. What with the fireworks and the gun's long barrel nobody was the wiser. Made 2 nice head shots in near dark.  As long as I keep in practice, the 39A gives me tons of confidence. I enjoy it more than my Win 52B (1990's version). Shoot I even rolled a snowmobile with it on my back and it wasn't harmed a bit - well the gun and I were thrown free or I'm sure my back would have been messed up on the gun but my weight at about 15-20 mph (had been doing 50+) did no damage to the gun or scope. I'm more careful now.
