Just added 3 new to me Marlins, a 1895 22 inch 45-70 pre-safty, 444p and a 1894S 44Mag. I also added a new to me Winchester 9422 to my collection and I am working a deal on a Winchester 1892 in 44 Mag.

I've got one old and one new to show.
This first one is a 1957 336RC in .35. I bought it last year and brought it back to life with a new Limbsaver recoil pad and a tung oil hand rubbed finish.

This second rifle I just picked up today. It's an 1895 SDT in 45/70, number 041 of 501 made for Davidson's. It's S.S. and has a grey/black laminated stock with a 16 1/4" barrel. Wild West Happy Trigger, Bear Proof extractor and XS ghost ring sight set that I installed.

I'm really getting to like that stainless steel and laminated wood look!! Your looks GREAT!!!!

I have been thinking long and hard about another handi in 45-70 SS.....

As for my Marlins.. I still have a few. ::) ::) ::) At one time I had everyone made since the late '60's. Then I got married.  ;D ;D Now I have about a dozen "choice" specimens.

;D. Found a vintage 1948 336 in 32 Special at a local shop.$75.00 out the door. Had a broken buttstock at the wrist and a severely pitted barrel, but one of the smoothest action I had ever seen. Got a buttstock from Great American, fitted it repaired the forestock. I stained and filled the grain so she is smooth as a babies butt. Found a new barrel from Numrich for $25.00,secure it, had it fitted had the whole thing reblued, installed a lyman receiver sight with a lyman front. Have about $325.00 invested and she puts them in one ragged hole at fifty yards. I love the .32 Special

1894C, .357 Mag.
1894 Cowboy, .45 Colt
1895 Cowboy, .45-70
336XLR, .35 Remington.

Put an aftermarket mainspring in the .45LC to lighten the brutal trigger pull, and that investment of a few dollars and 15 minutes yielded immediate results! Every other gun is "stock" & they all function great and shoot accurately. I need to shoot them LOTS MORE--just wish the local whitetails would cooperate!  :-) Even so, have fired some 1" groups with the scoped .35 and .45-70 using LeverEvolution ammo (and also Winchester 300g JHPs in the .45-70).

Having never owned or shot with scopes before, I was impressed with the gun/scope/ammo combinations that would give these results in their first range sessions. It speaks very well for Marlin!

I broke down and scoped the .45-70 to give me some longer-range hunting capability that I needed, before my (*wonderful*) wife cleared me hot to order the 336XLR & scope it! In other words, I don't really NEED both. . .but it sure is nice!

Someday I'll add a Model 39 in .22LR.

Golden 39A .22 rimfire.
1894ss 44 mag.
336CS 30-30 that's going to Marlin for cowboy conversion.
Model 60 22 rimfire
Model 883 22 mag.
Model 880SQ 22 rimfire w/heavy barrel

On the need list so far:
45/70 - Can't make up my mind which one, although I like the long barrels on the cowboy model.
45/70 XLR with Walnut furniture instead of laminate.

I'll think of more I'm sure.......

Grizz,

Having a favorite is like saying you favor your girlfriend over your wife, but here's what I got:

39A .22 LR (old rifle with plenty of extra holes - got it a long time ago in a trade but I have never shot it - needs a front barrel band that holds on the mag. tube but I have never been able to find one - the one I ordered form GPC was too small in the dovetail size - anyone got one?)

1984 CL .25-20 (nice! - need to shoot more)

336 S.C. - (nice rifle but beat up - I have sent back to Marlin for refurb.)

336 W .30-30 Rechambered to .307 Winchester  (haven't shot yet - A Mortal Sin!!!)

336 C .35 Remington (with trigger job - very accurate)

375 .375 Winchester (have not been able to get it to shoot yet - I'm experimenting with accuracy loads and I want to hunt deer with it here in Texas)

444 .444 Marlin (very accurate)

1895 .45-70 Govt. (very accurate)

I love 'em all!!!  I need a .32-20 and a .338 when they get here.  My eyes are old and I have them all scoped.  Have a booty load of other levers.  I guess you could say I'm addicted!

Blowtorch

Here's my .35 Remington.

Here's my .375.

Guys,

I forgot...I've also got a Marlin Model 62 in .30 Carbine.  It has an old Weaver K3 scope and is very accurate.  I had a .256 Mag. Model 62 when I was dealing at gun shows but I sold it like a fool.

As requested by Steve. Pics of my 336RC in 32 Win Special. Not so great pics though. It has a tad of surface rust and will be re-blued this year. Shoots like a dream and it loves the LeveRevolution ammo. Serial number puts it as being born in 1961.
