I have just two so far:
1.) 1894P in 44 mag, called "the baby guide gun". It's ported, loves Lee 210 gr RNFPs, and shoots like a big 22LR ! I just ordered the Williams WGRS Firesight set for it, since my old eyes just aren't up the the old semi-buckhorn sights anymore.
2.) 1895G in 45-70, the "real" guide gun. This one has a Willams 5D reciever sight, which I am thinking of adding a Firesight front bead to. Depending on the load, it shoots like everything from a great big pussycat to the American stopping rifle ! I had a scope on it, but it just seemed contrary to the whole spirit of the rifle, plus it encouraged me to shoot too far away where the trajectory had fallen off too much.

The dream list:
1.) 1894CL in 25-20 and 218 Bee. Both are for sale on Gunbroker at the moment, but they aren't in the cards at the moment.
2.) 336 in 35 Remington and 375 Winchester.

These where on my dream list as well... I got the 218, 25-20 some years back. I bought the 32-20 new. Later on I got a 375S and a couple years ago picked up a M375. All that's left on my list is a 1894 in 22Mag.. I passed on a couple in past years, as the owner was too attached to sell for what it was worth to me.

Keep looking, you will find yours too!!

I have a Marlin .22 bolt-action with clip, and my pride and joy-- a Marlin 1895GSS in .45/70 with a large loop lever and XsGhostSights. I got the rifle when I was 8 years old, and the Guide Gun two years ago as a birthday gift from my wife and Marine Sgt. son. Best birthday in a while. Marlin makes great products-period.

Got a Marlin Cowboy 24" in .357 I bought new  for $300 about 5 years ago. The store had it marked 1894cs. Who am I to argue about price? My baby is a .38 Cowboy Comp I use for Cowboy Action Shooting. Both have Marbles tang sights and one piece firing pins. I'm thinking about shortstroking it if the smith comes out of retirement and starts working on them again.

LOL! Your a Marlin Sporting Goods Store!

In regards to Marlinitis..it's one of those deadly diseases. Once hooked, your crooked forever!

My little safe has a few: starting at the bottom and working my way up the caliber line: 917V, 925, 60, 39A, 983, 1894 .44, 336 .30-.30, XS7 .243, XL7 .270. Their all shooters and wouldn't trade a one of them for anything else. American made with American Pride! Each time my hands hold the stock/forearms, I gleam to know that hard working Americans have made my rifle.
"Hunting and Fishing"....a deadly disease that I thank God they will never find a cure for..

Have a H&R in 444 Marlin caliber. Liked the caliber so much I went out and bought a Marlin 444 lever action. Ammo is a bit expensive so I load my own. The Hornady 300gr XTP seems to work well.

I have a 30 AS that was my first deer rifle...killed one deer with it and moved on to BIGGER and BETTER things. I am taking it out of mothballs this year and loading some 160 Horn FTX bullets for it and plan on knocking a deer or two down. I also had a sweet NRA edition 1894CL 218Bee that I let my best hunting buddy (my 7 year old niece) carry it deer hunting and she dropped a very large doe with it and she won't give it back!!!! I also gave her a TC G2 contender carbine in 7-30waters...but she likes the 218 Bee best....she can regulary hit a 16oz water bottle at 100 yards with it. Hope to add a 25/20 and a 32/20 also...I really like the little 1894's...Robbie

   Greetings!

The only Marlin that I own is my old 1891 Lever in .32 S / L CF. An old set of Eagle .32 Long Colt Dies, an Ideal #299153, and a few boxes of various ".32 Long Colt" brass cut back to .32 Long RF length. Small Pistol caps, and  2.0 gr. of Unique powder.
I had a gunsmith put an old Marble's Tang Sight on it; after that, even with a dark bore, my handloads would bowl over empty shotshells out to forty yards, or so.
I'm beginning to have feeding issues: more than one cartridge coming out of the magazine at a time; I'll have to find a gunsmith to fix that, it's such a pleasant round to shoot.
I'm hoping my next Marlin will be a 1894 in .32 H&R Mag: that will take a little wear & tear off of the 1891, and fulfill the same role using ".32 RF" level handloads. They're hard to find, and prices are getting higher... Maybe someday.

                 Be Well!
