Can somebody give me the value of a NIB A Bolt in 7-08.  It is the Hunter Model (matte blue and walnut).  Thanx

Not sure of the wholesale, but Browning's are around $575 in local shops. Check out Bud's Gun Shop on Gun broker. They have very competitive pricing.

I saw a used (less than 10 rounds fired) Synthetic A-Bolt 7mm-08 at a Flea Market last summer.  The guy was asking $525.  He ended up trading it for a Savage .30-06 and cash.  What the cash amount was, I don't know but I can assume it was at least a couple hundred.  He was happy to get the Savage and get rid of the Browning for some reason.

$575 sounds about right for NIB.  But you have to find someone who wants an A-Bolt.

Why would somebody not want an A Bolt??  Not trying to start something, just trying to get info. I like my BLR, and I like the 54* bolt through of my Weatherby.  In handling Brownings, I've always liked the short (60*) bolt through.  Do they not shoot??  What's wrong with them??

You are asking me to get into somebody else's head as to why he didn't like something.  I can take a guess as to why he wanted to dump the Browning after about 10 shots.

1.  He decided that a 7mm-08 wasn't the caliber he really wanted.  Maybe he is really a long action fan and just tried a short action and didn't like it.

2.  He took it to the Range and it wasn't grouping to his liking and he couldn't tighten it up.   So he dumped it.

3.  Somebody owed him money and gave him a Rifle to even things up, and he made out like a bandit.

Either way, he got Cash and a Savage.  And was glad to get it.  He was all smiles.
