barrel with compensator

I while back I bought a 308 barrel for my Handi.  It has a nice compensator on the barrel.  Was this a barrel that H&R (New England) offered or is it something that has been added by a gunsmith?  Whoever did it, did a very nice job.  If this is a factory job, does H&R still offer this, as they do not list it on their web site?

I have a 30-06 Ultra Comp barrel, they made them in .270 also. I am unaware of the .308 Ultra Comp as a factory offering but others may have more info on it....<><....:)

I've seen a 308 Ultracomp barrel or at least represented as an Ultracomp, sold on ebay, but Gordon at H&R says they were never offered in 308, only 270 and 30-06. Here's a close up pic of a 30-06 UC compensator.
